Cooling Down with Kids Uniforms

French Toast uniformsThe weather for April has been really crazy here in New York. One day it still felt like winter was hanging on and today it is supposed to reach 80 degrees. It is hard to keep up with Mother Nature and that is why it’s not only important to check out the weather report constantly, but to have your children prepared with several options for kids school uniforms. By now girls should have already made the switch to cool, comfortable skirts –but not the heavy skirts of winter. Something with a little more breathability. Ditch the thick sweater tights too and opt for thin panty hose or knee high socks.

Switching Out School Uniform Shirts

French Toast uniformsI’m not sure about the rest of the nation, but the East coast has seen a rapid temperature change as of late. Hopefully this warm front is here to stay because I think I speak for everyone when I say I’m tired of winter. With this temperature change, I’m sure a lot of parents, and kids, are rapidly trying to prepare for the new season. It’s time to change kids school uniforms for the warm weather. Out with the sweaters and in with the short-sleeve shirts!

Polo shirts work well for the weather right now as we transition. The thicker cotton keeps kids warm during the cool mornings. However, soon the temperature will rise even more and a polo shirt might get a little hot during the last two months of school. Instead, opt for thinner dress shirts that will keep kids cooler in the heat. Of course boys will always be stuck with a pair of pants. But girls can switch over to jumpers and girls school skirts.
