In the past 10 years the North Face has gone from being a relatively obscure outdoor wear manufacturer to a staple of urban and rural life everywhere. North Face makes great products be they for going to school, battling the frozen winter city streets or trekking in the wilderness. In addition to their mega-down jackets and coats, North Face also offers useful, every day items that are perfect for kids rough-and-tumble lifestyle and ever changing tastes. Two stand out models include the North Face Vault, a book lugger extrordinaire and the North Face Jester. A bag that will grow with your child well through highschool.

The North Face VaultLike most other North Face products, the Vault is available in a wide variety of colors. But we all know most kids will choose black, and then go crazy with the white out. The Vault offers a large, square book carrying compartment that will fit all of the folders, books and binders your kid can lug. The back is neoprene padded to take the edge off of all the book lugging.

The North Face Jester: The jester is the Vault’s versatile companion. If the vault is based around a cavernous main compartment, the Jester is more sensibly split between one large compartment and a smaller on with an internal organizer. Perfect for pens and school supplies.  The jester also has a convenient bungee strap on theoutside for stuffing or hanging clothes and shoes.

Kids can be endlessly picky.  They hate vegetables, won’t stop watching TV and do not want to be seen with their parents after the age of ten. Fair enough, but when you have to buy these little monsters a new everything every 12 months, the pickiness quickly gets to wear on you. Why not buy them things that they won’t be quickly tired of, like a North Face backpack?  North Face makes many different styles of packpack that are kid-approved and ready for school day adevntures. The North Face Jester model is just one such pack that comes to mind. With it’s large capacity and the technical hiking look of the North Face Jester, it is likely to satisfy tweenaged boys and girls everywhere.

If the North Face Jester doesn’t fit the bill, at least keep a few things in mind when purchasing your child’s backpack. Such as how long will it last? Is this pack well made enough to get your kid at least a couple of years? Also consider fit and how your child is going to wear it. If it sags down below their waist and is full of 30 pounds of books, the pack likely won’t be the most comfortable piece on the market. Consider your child’s health and posture!

Back pain is common in adults and children. It is caused by a good many things such as improper posture, lifting heavy objects incorrectly, or carrying backpacks that are packed improperly.

Many children are carrying backpacks incorrectly. Here are some tips to keep your child’s back from pain and other problems.

- Use a lightweight fabric backpack like the North Face backpacks. These are lighter materials that are also tough enough to carry heavy loads

- Make sure the straps are thick and padded.

- Be sure the straps are adjusted properly. The backpack should sit two inches above the waist and just below the nape of the neck. Don’t wear the backpack too low near the rear.

- Be sure that it contours to the back. North face jester backpacks have padded backs and sit snugly against the back.

- Teach children to only carry what they need and nothing extra.

- Be sure to pack the heaviest objects first before others. This will be sure that the weight is evenly distributed and closer to the core of the back. This will save shoulders from unnecessary pain.

- Kids shouldn’t have to hunch forward to carry the backpack. If they do, the pack is too heavy for them. Posture is very important when carrying heavy loads.

Even though it’s winter, my mind is in sunny vacation mode. I have one coming up next year and I’m already planning in order to get me through the colder days. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t like to pack too much and absolutely refuses to check in large luggage at the airport. One reason is, I don’t want to have to lug that thing back and forth. And another reason is, I like to have everything on me. I’m not the biggest fan of others handling my stuff.

I often have my rolling carry on luggage piece, but on top of that, I bring a Northface Jester backpack. See, I can put the rolling luggage in the overhead compartment and I’m allowed to hold the backpack in my lap during the trip. It works as extra storage  for all the smaller things, like toiletries, my wallet, a smaller bag that I’ll carry around with me sight seeing, and anything else I can stuff in there.

I wouldn’t be able to go anywhere without my Northface Jester backpack. It’s a seriously great investment for those who love to travel, but travel as light and easily as they possibly can!

Your kids have a lot going on. If it’s not baseball lessons or lacrosse it’s ballet or gymnastics. Maybe they take a pottery class at the YMCA or an art class in the park on Saturdays. Not to mention they have schoolwork to do as well! It’s an art form for kids to juggle all of their programs, they shouldn’t have to literally juggle all of their stuff as well!

That’s where getting a great backpack comes in. You want something that will be easy to carry, won’t harm their bodies by making them strain, and of course something stylish! The north face jester backpack fits the bill perfectly.

This backpack has space for all of the art projects, library books, ballet shoes, and lacrosse balls your child needs to carry around on a daily basis. It even has crisscrossed bungee cords that could hold a lacrosse stick or that huge baton that your little sugar plum fairy needs for her recital.

It’s also durable. They have been used by mountain climbers as day packs. Not to mention the Jester backpack is completely water proof! Their rigid and padded backs give support to growing bodies and older bodies alike and a reflective logo makes sure that your child will be seen at night.

The north face jester backpack is the perfect fit for any school kid with a lot of equipment to carry around or just the fashion savvy kid who wants one of the coolest looking backpacks on the market.

School has started and the textbook list is piling up. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for your kids in elementary school or your college kid just taking on the world of higher education, that’s a lot to handle and a lot to carry back and forth to school! Sometimes we don’t realize how much space they are going to need. But there’s plenty of time to upgrade to a new backpack.

The North Face Jester is a great choice no matter what age the student. It  comes in a variety of colors, from basic black to pink for girls and a number of other cool designs. With 1830 square inches of room, this backpack can hold all the textbooks and notebooks for the day and any extras they may need.

That’s the thing with schools lately is they offer a lot of work and a lot of material to work with, but you have to make it easy on your child to carry. That’s why its injection-mold shoulder straps are made to be super comfortable no matter the weight they are carrying. And S&D Kids has a bunch of great designs of the North Face Jester available when you pick up the rest of your school supplies!

Most kids grumble at the thought of going back to school. The silver lining of the cloud is that they get to go back to school shopping. As depressing as it is for the dog days of summer to end, it’s always fun to go out and get a new Jansport backpack. It’s adolescent retail therapy for the otherwise dread of getting back to school. Besides, a school year with the proper supplies is nothing to fear (or at least that’s you should tell your kids)!

It also gives kids a chance to show off how much they have grown and re-invent themselves for the new school year. Maybe they will get that North Face Jester and become class clown? Or maybe they will stop wearing those messy t-shirts and start wearing school uniform shirts instead. As parents you wonder (anxiously) what surprises this year will hold for you.

The prospect of going back to school is daunting to any youngster; don’t make it worse by sending them unprepared for the first day. Whatever supplies you do get, make sure they are approved by your child’s school. And don’t forget a few words of encouragement on the first day, they mean more than you think!
